2 Days Desert Tour Fez to Fez

Day 1: Fez → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Erfoud → Merzouga

Your unforgettable 2-day desert adventure begins at 8:00 AM with pickup from your riad or accommodation in Fez. Our journey takes us through the beautiful landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, with our first stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and alpine atmosphere.

We continue towards Azrou, where you will visit the famous cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Here, you can observe these monkeys in their natural habitat and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the forest.

As we travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, you will discover breathtaking landscapes featuring lush forests, mountain springs, rocky valleys, and traditional Berber villages. Along the way, we will stop in Midelt, a town known for its minerals and fossils, where you can enjoy lunch.

After lunch, we continue our journey towards Erfoud and Merzouga, passing through impressive desert landscapes and stopping at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the magnificent palm groves of the Ziz Valley.

We expect to arrive in Merzouga around 5:00 PM, where your camel guide will be waiting to welcome you. After a short rest, embark on a memorable camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying the spectacular Sahara sunset along the way.

After approximately one hour of camel riding, you will arrive at your traditional desert camp. Enjoy Moroccan mint tea, a delicious dinner, and a peaceful evening beneath the star-filled desert sky before spending the night in a comfortable Berber tent.

Day 2: Merzouga → Tafilalet → Middle Atlas → Fez

Wake up early to experience one of the most magical moments of your Sahara adventure: sunrise over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Take a peaceful walk across the sand and admire the changing colors of the desert as the morning sun rises.

After enjoying the sunrise, return from the desert camp by camel and prepare for your journey back to Fez.

We will travel through the beautiful Tafilalet region and the landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping along the way for rest, photographs, and lunch.

Enjoy the changing scenery as we leave the Sahara behind, passing through traditional villages, mountain valleys, and scenic countryside.

Our journey concludes with arrival in Fez in the evening. Your driver will drop you off at your riad, hotel, or preferred accommodation, marking the end of your memorable 2-day Fez to Merzouga desert experience.
